Meet the team at Pomfrey Accountants in Bexley.


Managing Director

I take ultimate responsibility for everything that happens at Pomfrey Accountants and the wider Bells Accountants group, from business development to client care. I go out to meet new and existing clients, organise seminars and education sessions, and run networking and mastermind events. I also offer a VIP programme, where I provide business consultancy services in addition to our usual accountancy services.

I left school at 18 and went straight into an accountancy practice as an office junior. I moved up the ranks, moved to a different firm five years later and then eventually went out on my own. I am now a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. The best thing about being in this industry is meeting other business owners, learning about their journey, and becoming a part of their business success.

Bells Accountants takes up the majority of my time, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There are so many crossovers between business and personal life and many of the people I know through networking and various industry events have become firm friends as well. I’m very staff focused so I am always available for my team, whether they want to talk about business or chat over a cup of tea.


Practice Manager

As practice manager role is very client focused, ensuring our clients receive an outstanding service. I also support the wider Pomfrey Accountants team and prepare and review company accounts and tax returns. I would say there is no typical day in my role, it’s just a case of taking things as they come and enjoying the ride!

I have always worked in the accountancy sector and I am a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. After having my three children I moved into financial accounting and I’ve worked here since 2005! I love it – accountants are more interesting than you might think. Here’s a good fact for you: did you know that it was an accountant who invented bubble gum?!

Outside of work I enjoy socialising, gardening, going to the gym, travelling and relaxing.



Practice Manager

My role is very broad, involving a number of responsibilities – managing the team, supporting and training staff, meeting new clients, and managing a wide client portfolio. This involves a lot of interaction with clients and staff which I love, particularly when I have the opportunity to learn how clients operate, and assist them in adding value to their business.

I have worked in accounts since 2008, having qualified with AAT in 2013. I joined the firm in 2017 when I qualified with the ACCA and every day since has varied according to client expectations, deadlines and staff requirements.

I live local to the office, and love to spend time with my family and friends outside of work and travelling the world.


Personal Assistant to Senior Management Team

My role at Pomfrey Accountants is very varied and mainly entails taking the day-to-day stress away from senior management – I’m pretty confident I can read their minds by now! I am highly organised, manage my time well and have excellent attention to detail.

A typical day for me is busy, busy, busy…but I enjoy liaising with clients on a daily basis and building up a relationship with them. I love the team I work with and we have some excellent get togethers – the Friday lunchtime office takeaway is always a good social occasion and a chance to spend time with my colleagues.

Outside of work I enjoy socialising, cooking, gardening, travelling and the occasional night out to the theatre.


Client Manager

My main duties are to prepare company accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns. I’m a real people person and I’m easy to approach – I enjoy working with clients and speaking in their language instead of using all the accountancy jargon.

I began working for Pomfrey Accountants in 2019 – I really enjoy working here and building up client relationships. I always wanted to be an accountant, as I liked working with numbers, and I am now a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Us accountants are interesting people – did you know Mick Jagger worked in accounting before his showbiz career took off?!

Outside of work I enjoy socialising and seeing the world.



Client Manager

I work with accounts, VAT, tax returns and our Pimlico Plumbers clients – a typical day for me involves work, work, and… work! In order to be successful in this role I need to be accurate, patient, and have excellent time management and attention to detail.

I have worked for Pomfrey since 2017 and I enjoy building relationships with clients. I also like being a part of the team here. I have ACCA, MSc and MA qualifications, helping me to succeed in this role.

Outside of the office I enjoy relaxing, socialising and spending time with family.



Trainee Client Manager

For me, a typical day involves work, work and more work! As a trainee client manager I am kept busy dealing with VAT, accounts and bookkeeping. It requires a good level of attention to detail and lots of patience!

I have a degree in Accounting and Finance, and I am ACCA accredited. I enjoy my job as a trainee client manager because client satisfaction is at the top of my list of priorities.

When I’m not at work I enjoy watching films, socialising and getting some relaxation outside of my busy role.



Trainee Client Manager

As a trainee client manager my main duties and responsibilities include VAT returns, tax returns, and the submission of accounts. No two days are the same as I work at various offices completing a range of jobs for clients. I enjoy working with them, reassuring them and answering all their queries.

I joined the team in 2016 and I am currently completing my ACCA qualification. I enjoy a challenge and will put all my effort into making every project a success. If you enjoy a challenge as well, here’s a puzzle for you… Can you name the only English word that has three consecutive sets of double letters? Ok, I’ll give you the answer – it’s bookkeeping!

When I’m not in work I like to spend time relaxing by going on walks, going on road trips, and watching car racing and films.




As a bookkeeper my main duties and responsibilities involve bookkeeping, data input and eating lots of chocolate. I have excellent attention to detail and am highly organised which help me to succeed in my role.

I am a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and have worked for Pomfrey Accountants since 1999. I live in Kent, so it’s a great location for me to work in. And I enjoy the amount of chocolate in the office…

When I’m not in work I enjoy walking and having lunch with friends.




I am responsible for bookkeeping and data input, assisting Dawn – and drinking lots of tea and coffee (an important part of the role). I am highly organised which helps me to help clients get the most out of their bookkeeping services.

I am one of the newer members of the Pomfrey Accountants team and I’ve been here for around 6 months. I really enjoy working as part of the team.

When I’m not in the office I like socialising, travelling and spending time with family.

Steve Collins



I work on marketing and accounts – it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about their businesses, their passions, and what inspired them to set up their various companies.

I am qualified with the Association of Accounting Technicians after stumbling into a career in accountancy. I have worked in this field for most of my life now, and I really enjoy the industry. It’s never easy blowing your own trumpet, so I asked my colleague Helen what skills I have that make me particularly good at my job. She replied with “all manner of things”. Thanks Helen. Very specific.

Outside of work my main hobby is travel. I love seeing new places all over the world, but my favourite place is the USA.




I have worked with our Pimlico Plumbers clients for over 15 years here at Pomfrey.
I really enjoy the day to day contact with the engineers along with the varied workload it provides.

I joined Pomfrey after passing a book keeping course when the tutor offered me work within her company for one day a week, this has steadily progressed over the years to 4 days.
I’m holding on to my Friday’s off with two hands!

When I’m not working I really enjoy spending time with my family, cooking & baking cakes for the office.




It is my job to ensure we provide administrative support to all accountants, assisting with accounts packages and letters, maintaining accounts and VAT due lists, dealing with HMRC and looking after the client database. It’s a busy role, and I’ve learnt how to keep calm under pressure – a very valuable skill to have in this line of work!

I came into this industry completely by accident after looking for a local administration role – the role I came across just happened to be in accountancy. I joined Pomfrey Accountants in 2016 and love the team and their sense of humour.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.




I work in administration for Pomfrey Accountants and assist with debts management. My job is very varied, which I deal with well because I am highly organised. I am a people person, so I love the social aspect of the role.

I originally got into this industry through a friend and I have never looked back. I began working at Pomfrey Accountants in 2011 and really enjoy working with the people. I honestly believe that accountants are not boring!

When I’m not working I enjoy going to concerts, the theatre and dancing.




I answer the telephone, complete Companies House statements and carry out various administration duties. I previously worked in accounts and payroll as well as in the travel industry where I have always had a good work ethic and a positive attitude.

The part of my job I love is the interaction I have with clients. I make sure clients are always satisfied and that I answer their queries quickly. I found this job through a recruiter who said it would be a perfect fit, and I totally agree!

Outside of work I enjoy sightseeing and going for walks.
